Divine Winter Smoothies For Cold Days

Smoothies are healthy, delicious and keep you full for a long time. And they taste great, especially in the cold season. We dispel the prejudice that smoothies only taste good in summer and tell you our five favorite recipes for brilliant winter smoothies.

The Energy Bomb For The Whole Year

The name alone is a promise and smoothies are actually a pleasant treat for the palate. And someone who keeps what he promises. A good smoothie is not only delicious, but also healthy. Because it contains valuable vitamins and minerals from the fruits and vegetables used.

Vegetables? Sure, of course! Not only sweet fruits can be included in your smoothie, but also plenty of vegetables. From leaf lettuce to spinach, this ensures variety in taste and a particularly high content of valuable ingredients, such as antioxidants. And we need them especially in winter, when our immune system is usually much more challenged than in the warm season.

Especially when it's cold and uncomfortable outside, the delicious winter smoothies are just right and can replace one or two portions of fruit and vegetables. “Five a day”, as the German Nutrition Society recommends, is no problem with smoothies even in winter. You're sure to find your favorite version today.

Winter Fruit Kick

The ingredients for this treat are really manageable, but the taste is simply brilliant. For one or two large glasses you only need:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

In fact, preparing a smoothie is child's play, but you can vary it a little. Decide for yourself whether you use the apple with or without the peel. It's not a problem for a powerful mixer, but it's a clear argument for the content of important vitamins. Because they are located directly under the peel of the apple.

The amount of yogurt you use for our winter fruit kick is also up to you. Just test how much you need for your favorite flavor. We love this smoothie because it is fruity, velvety and still fresh and the cinnamon gives it an authentic winter character.

Spicy Frost Killer

A smoothie with a twist – our spicy frost killer is perfect for the winter. And actually only at this time of year, because you need fresh kale for this. And as we all know, it only tastes really good after the first frost.

The Ingredients In Detail:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1 pinch of chili powder
  • Water

The taste is fruity and tart and pleasantly spicy thanks to the chili powder used. Kale, with its abundance of phytochemicals, antioxidants, vitamins and fiber, is also the ultimate energy boost for cold days. Also a great eye-catcher in terms of color!

Spicy Tangerine

Santa Claus already brings tangerines and they are one of the most popular until spring

Ingredients(Four To Five Tangerines)

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cm peeled ginger root
  • 1 pinch of cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 150ml water

What this smoothie reveals is unique. The taste is fruity, but also fresh and spicy. Spicy and simply a sensual drinking pleasure. You simply have to try it, especially if you are keen to experiment and are looking for new smoothies.

And the B grade! Tangerines are rich in vitamin C, bananas shine with their impressive potassium content, spinach brings antioxidant nutrients to the glass and lots of folic acid. And the spices are also something special: Ginger's essential oils have a beneficial effect on nasty colds in winter, cardamom is considered to have a digestive and antispasmodic effect, and vanilla not only smells great, but also has a reputation as an anti-inflammatory spice.

Green Winter Smoothie

Green smoothies are in a class of their own because they are considered particularly healthy. And you should definitely try salad in your mixed drink. It may seem like it takes some getting used to at first, but it will definitely inspire you.

You need:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 large handful of lamb's lettuce
  • Water
  • Cinnamon

For a really igniting energy bomb, we recommend that you leave the peel on the apple and just wash it thoroughly. Then cut into wedges, add the cleaned lamb's lettuce, a pinch of cinnamon and water as needed.

If you like it a little sweeter, you can stir in a little honey. If the smoothie is a bit fibrous, simply strain it quickly through a sieve and enjoy!

Pear Feast

Have you noticed that many smoothie recipes contain apple? But if you don't like apples, can't tolerate them, or are simply looking for a change, we'll tell you the recipe for our smooth pear feast.

Ingredients (For one or two glasses):

  • 1 pear
  • 1 banana
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • 50ml water

Mix it! This sweet smoothie is not only really tasty, but also a real tip for your first test attempts. If you've never made a smoothie before, you'll probably do very well with this gentle version.

Of course, the pear feast also has compelling arguments that go beyond its taste. Thanks to the low fruit acid content, many people simply tolerate pears better than apples. Their high proportion of potassium, magnesium and vitamins A, B and C make pears an all-round healthy product.
